Still Leading?

Bureau of Labor Statistics data show the staffing industry continues to increase the number of Americans working as temporary help accounted for 16,400 new jobs in November, continuing a trend of increasing hiring. Historically increasing temporary hiring indicated a strengthening economy. If temporary hiring is still a leading economic indicator, then the economic outlook is bright indeed, since this represents an increase of 8.6% over a year ago.
On the other hand it could reflect companies repositioning their workforces in anticipation of the new mandates of the ACA (Obamacare). Time will tell.
