Kudos to the City of Benicia

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOur little Solano county neighbor, Benicia, has been getting some well deserved recognition lately. The North Bay Business Journal cited Benicia among Solano cities working to welcome new businesses. AAA’s Via magazine recently featured Benicia as a desirable weekend escape. Finally and probably most importantly, SafeWise Security recognized Benicia as one of the 50 safest cities in California (#40).
The Benicia Industrial Park is a cornerstone of our business where lots of enterprises employ a talented workforce that commands premium wages.
Benicia’s success is the result of a cohesive social structure and solid and often visionary leadership in the community.  The Industrial Park itself is the result perceptive leadership 50 years ago that recognized the closure of the former US Army Arsenal was a future opportunity wrapped inside the immediate disaster of the Arsenal’s closure in 1963.
Within a few years it became home to the refinery that went on to produce products for the West from the North Slope’s oil reserves. Initially the refinery became a magnet for supporting business and as time’s gone forward a diversity of enterprises found the city’s welcoming climate and geographic advantages a great place to make home.
Congratulations to the City of Benicia, her leadership, her businesses and citizens. Benicia remains a jewel quietly waiting to be enjoyed as a charmingly unique and safe place to live and visit.
Most of all, the prosperity of the enterprises that call Benicia home contribute to city and the entire region.
