Any politician worth his beans knows how to jump in front of a parade. With domestic violence headlines spilling out from the sports pages, legislatures across the county are bound to be following Massachusetts lead in enacting domestic violence leave mandates for employers.
Obviously this isn’t to downplay the seriousness of the crime, but the impulse of politicians to “do something” by imposing more burdens on business does get tiresome. In any case here is the warning bell from Massachusetts. Will California be far behind?
