We’ve talked a lot about resumes, and in the business of job hunting there are few things more important. Before an employer ever takes a look at you, you first must get their attention with your resume.
In any communication, it’s important to consider who you are addressing. Whether it’s an ad, a love note, a letter, or a resume, it will only be successful if you think about the person seeing your message. In the limited time we all have, the message that stands out is the one that gets the attention.
Here is a 5 question checklist to follow just before you punch that Send button. Note that the first three questions talk about the time your resume has to make the impression you want or find the round file.
